The short version

Boise is small. Finding your people in it shouldn't be hard.

First Fridays Boise started in October 2024 with a simple idea: give Black and multicultural professionals in the Treasure Valley one standing night a month to be in the same room. No membership. No application. You show up, you meet people, you leave with a few numbers in your phone.

We've been at wine bars, comedy clubs, parks, ball games and a historic house on River Street. The venue changes every month. The reason to come doesn't.

Thinking about your first one

Come by yourself

Most people do. Someone greets you at the door and walks you into a conversation — you won't be standing in a corner holding a drink.

Wear what you're wearing

People come straight from work and people get dressed up. Both fit right in. There's no dress code and never has been.

Stay twenty minutes or all night

There's no program to sit through. Come late, leave early, bring a friend. It counts either way.

More than one way in

Sistas Who Lunch

A monthly midday table for Black women in the Treasure Valley. Third Friday, 12:00–1:30 PM, a new restaurant each month. Small on purpose — seats go fast.
